Audit on Swimming Pools in Cootamundra Shire - 03 Sep 2008 Drowning is one of the major causes of death for children under the age of five in NSW. Each year on average 10 children under five drown in backyard swimming pools and many more suffer brain damage and other serious injuries associated with near-drowning experiences.Summer will soon be here, and in order to prevent such tragedy impacting on our local community, Cootamundra Shire Council will be conducting an audit of all Swimming Pools and Spas located within the Shire.more ..Pound Puppies - 02 Sep 2008 At the moment we have no Pound Puppies.

Awards are open to any nominee who has volunteered for a legitimate not-for-profit organisation for the equivalent of at least 100 hours over a 12 month period. Nominations must be submitted in mail by the 30 September 2008. Prizes include state-wide recognition for the volunteer and up to $1500 prize money for the Not-for-profit organisation.
